World of Warships meets Heroes of Might and Magic III in October update
10/12/2023 - Wargaming celebrates the spookiest time of the year with many special promotions for players to dive into. These include a special collaboration with the Heroes of Might and Magic III strategy game, with six new commanders taking the helm and leading the fleet to victory. The update also brings a festive "Save Transylvania" operation for Halloween.
Might and Magic in World of Warships
Heroes of Might Magic III is making an exciting appearance just in time for the most mystical month of the year! Six new commanders from the iconic turn-based strategy game are coming to Warships on October 19 to assert dominance over the high seas. Each of these commanders features their own unique voice acting, including a reprise by the original voice actors of Catherine Ironfist of the Castle and Sandro of the Necropolis. These fantasy captains all have ten skill points and are ready to lead any armada to victory. A new map directly inspired by Heroes of Might and Magic III is located in the Armory, where players can unlock the commanders along with various resources such as credits, experience points, premium game time and economic bonuses.
In addition, World of Warships has released a special DLC pack with a 50% discount on Steam that includes the iconic Captain Sandro, premium game time, and numerous bonuses, rewards, and in-game credits. However, this pack includes not only the World of Warships DLC, but also a copy of Heroes of Might and Magic III HD Edition.
Three new Japanese battleships
The Tier VIII Yumihari, the Tier IX Adatara and the Tier X Bungo are dropping anchor in the updated port of Kure and will be included in Early Access. These ships, which can be purchased via temporary Japanese tokens, feature the high firing range and good accuracy characteristic of Japanese gunships. In addition to the large-caliber guns of the main battery, these ships have slots for the consumables "fighter" or "reconnaissance plane". To showcase these additions to the game, a themed collection has also been added, rewarding those who complete the 60-piece collection with a permanent Mount Fuji Sunrise camouflage for the Yumihari.
Hair-raising Halloween operations
Just in time for Halloween, this update also brings plenty of spooky content to the game! In addition to the new standard and premium Jack-o'-Lantern containers, a special spooky operation is coming to the game. In this mission, which runs from October 25 to November 9 on the regional servers, players will accompany and defend Transylvania on its dangerous journey to discover and destroy a portal and prevent the forces of darkness from spreading further. To tackle this tricky situation, ships of all types from level VIII to IX can participate in this year's Halloween Operation - with the added bonus of special modifiers to customize the ships' performance.
Starting November 3, players can find additional containers for Black Friday 2023 in the armory, and four new ships have been added to the game. These include the highly sought-after American destroyer Black B and three other battleships and cruisers from the Japanese, German and Soviet navies.
